Driverless snowplow coming to Winnipeg Richardson International Airport

The future of snow removal is coming to Winnipeg Richardson International Airport. The Winnipeg Airports Authority is set to convert one of its snowplows to run autonomously, making the city's airport the first in North America to use a driverless plow to clear snow.  The new technology will begin a trial run early next year.

WINNIPEG, March 14, 2019 /CNW/ - Today, Winnipeg Richardson International Airport introduced 'Otto', the first autonomous airport snowplow in North America. The plow is the result of a partnership with Manitoba companies Northstar Robotics Inc. and Airport Technologies Inc. (ATI).
